When my daughter moved back from L.A., I started video taping her improvisations of various characters. She has designed an extensive project to be shown in a gallery with large color photographs and videos showing the unedited versions of many women talking at once.
I edited a short version of some of her characters and asked her to include a bit of her own story at the end of it, because I thought it was important for this particular video piece. However, her own identity has never been the thrust of her work, so my request adds a very misleading sense of her intention.
